EXECUTIVE BOARD OFFICERS
Hi, I'm Matt Zelasko, the President of the Kent State Construction Management Student Organization. I am a Construction Management major with a minor in Business. This past summer I interned with Grunley Construction in Washington, DC. Last year, I participated in the NAHB competition and I plan to continue this year while also taking part in the ABC competition. In my free time, I play hockey, go to the gym, and hang out with friends.
My name is Jordan Allshouse, this year's Treasurer of the Kent State Construction Management Student Organization. I am a Construction Management major with a concentration in Safety Management. I had the opportunity to intern with Gilbane Building Company in the role of BIM/ VDC and project engineer. I’m continuing to work for Gilbane throughout the school year on the Sherwin Williams R&D project. I have the pleasure of leading the annual NAHB student competition team and helping support our other student competition, ABC. In my spare time, I enjoy playing volleyball or golf with friends, helping serve at Kent Cru, and designing tiny homes
My name is Morgan Fischer, Vice President of the Kent State Construction Management Student Organization. I am studying Construction Management with a minor in Business. I spent this past summer with The Brewer-Garrett Company as a Project Manager Intern, learning all about HVAC and what a design-build company has to offer. I am looking forward to the student competitions this year and all of the events our board is planning. When I’m not in class, I am working one of my jobs, at the gym, or doing an art project.
I am Ali Ritvo and I am the secretary of the Kent State Construction Management Student Organization. I am a Construction Management major and I’m also pursuing a minor in Business. Over the summer I interned with The NRP Group in Orlando, FL. Last year, I was on our NAHB student competition team. This year I plan on being involved in NAHB again as well as our other competition team ABC. While not at the CAED, I love painting, rollerblading, and anything that gets me outside with friends!
STUDENT NETWORKING CHAIR
I’m Margaret Kontur and I am this year's Student Networking Chair for the Kent State Construction Management Student Organization. I am an Architectural Engineering major with a Construction Management minor. This past summer, I worked with the Austin Company, a design build construction company, as their architectural assistant. In what spare time I have, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and engaging with various student organizations throughout Kent State.
SUBCHAPTER EVENT CHAIR
My name is Tara Rybar, I am this year’s Subchapter Event Chair. I am currently a sophomore. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management with a concentration in Safety Management. I’ve participated in the NAHB Competition in the Fall of 2021 and the UC Competition in Spring 2022. I’m always in the CAED Building, so don’t be a stranger! If I’m not at there, I’m at home starting on a new renovation project or taking my daughter, Bell to some type of activity.
I am John Grunder, volunteer chairman for the Construction Management Student Organization. I am currently a junior pursuing a bachelors in Construction Management with a specification in Mechanical and Electrical Management as well as an associates degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout the past year I had the opportunity to participate in the UC and NAHB student competitions. During the spring and summer of 2022 I had the opportunity to intern with Abbott Electric Inc., as well as work at Taso’s Electric Inc located in Canton, Ohio.. When I am not working or engaging in a construction management related activity, you can find me playing on the Kent State Men’s Club Lacrosse Team or working out at the Rec Center.
